GeoGuard ECT is a broad-spectrum preservative that helps keep water-based products fresh and stable by protecting them from the growth of bacteria, yeast, and mold. It allows products like Pest Regards to maintain their quality and shelf life while remaining compatible with naturally derived formulations.

Although GeoGuard ECT is approved for use in many natural and ECOCERT/COSMOS-style formulations, it is a nature-derived preservative rather than an essential oil or botanical extract. It is included in a very small amount solely to help ensure the product remains safe and effective throughout normal use.
